Four engines and one wing: The stability of instability

Maneuverability and speed of the aircraft helicopter - to cross these two virtues tend to designers around the world. Another attempt by the engineers reported from Brazil.
On one of the traditional ways to achieve non-conventional "airplane-helicopter" features - about the gyro - we wrote an article entitled " Aircraft without wings . "Project Quadshot , created in Brazil, no matter what unlike traditional, and thus by its very idea is quite simple. Circuit design " flying wing "is equipped with four rotating rotors, capable to deploy it in an upright, giving the ability of helicopter, or to orient horizontally, transforming into something like an airplane.
Already collected by the authors of the prototype has a wingspan of 1 meter, and the engines mounted on their front edge. Lightweight design is derived from polypropylene foam and additionally reinforced carbon-fiber rod. Interestingly, despite the asymmetrical arrangement of the rotors, the helicopter out of the machine works perfectly decent, and the flight appears to be stable (have a look at this video , where even Quadshot makes acrobatic twists). The "helicopter" position, it also makes takeoffs and landings.
Such maneuvers have been made possible not only thanks to special design, as with the help of an electronic system that provides flight. It includes, in particular, accelerometers and gyroscopes that allow permanent transfer to the stationary control computer data on the direction and orientation of the apparatus.
Overall, the authors believe that their idea is sufficiently complete, and are now looking for investors to help them develop production. But we can already pre-order a toy - until all of 300 U.S. dollars, and in the future price of Quadshot be about 400.
